The cobbler's children finally all have shoes! Haha..what I really mean is we finally completed the last window treatment for our house... a Roman shade for the office. Hubby is working from home currently and was growing weary of looking at the paper shade hanging in the window. I love the simple embroidered dandelions. Careful planning resulted in perfect pattern placement. Hidden ribs ensure that if folds up perfectly every time and we hand stitched the rings on with our ...method that ensures there are no pinholes of light. The shade is also motorized. Love this boxed, double-flanged king pillow sham with mitered corners and invisible zipper, designed by Fannin Interiors. Thanks to careful planning and execution, the pattern motif matches perfectly at the seams. The insert is down and feather (25% down, 75% feather).

Had such a fun Lunch and Learn at Helser Brothers today! I was invited to come and share with their staff all the innovative ways we use Easyflex tape for Ripplefold draperies. We love using this product for our Ripplefold panels because we can customize the snap spacing easily in order for the folds to coincide with the horizontal pattern repeat or to create beautiful, deeper folds. When clearance is an issue, we can customize the back fold to be a little smaller. We can maneuver the spacing so that our seams fall in the most inconspicuous place and we love how easily we can fabricate a double-sided Ripplefold drapery when needed as a room divider by using this product. Another Custom Workroom Conference is in the books! I was honored to teach two of the classes, I loved learning all the latest and greatest tips and techniques from the other instructors, the vendor day was fantastic - loved seeing all the new products! I won 2nd place in the Stitch Rally (and a $200 Amazon gift card!) sponsored by @HelserBrothers, loved the keynote speaker @susankostelecky (she spoke about her experience these past few years volunteering her time, talents an...d her own money, teaching underprivileged children to sew), loved making new friends and getting reacquainted with friends/colleagues I’ve known for many years. My mother was here for a short visit. We finished making some draperies for her shortly before she arrived. She's on her way back home and will have them installed on Wednesday. Can't wait to see them installed!
