We’ve all heard of lymph nodes, but that may be all of our knowledge of the lymph system. To give glimpse, think of how lymph nodes tend to swell when you are sick, this is because they are a major part of the immune system and a minor part of the circulatory system 1. When a lymph node is swollen, it has accumulated foreign pathogens (bacteria, virsues, parasites, etc.), proteins and cellular debris from the bug that has infected the body and the immune system’s response t...o this foreign invader. If any one of us was asked if we knew the true meaning of gratitude, we would nod our heads... but do we really know what is it is? Do we really feel what gratitude feels like and receive its benefits, or do we operating out of an unconscious, robotic pattern? How do we hack the brain and body to truly FEEL gratitude and thereby receive all of its potent benefits? This article is going to be different than other positivity or affirmation based articles as we get into the ha...rd science, the nitty gritty and breakdown the blockages to feeling gratitude. What is gratitude... really? Psychologists have defined gratitude as a positive emotional response when a human has the readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. It can also be defined as the human way of acknowledging the good things of life.( 1,2) It is not discounting the challenges you are currently facing, so that means it is possible to acknowledge what you appreciate or what is working, even in the most challenging situation. Amongst any circumstance you face, you can still acknowledge that what you’re experiencing is unpleasant or challenging, while also intentionally focusing on what is working The Science of Gratitude: Access full article by going to www.optimyze.me/blog

Set your intentions. One practice we use at Optimyze is use intention as driver of outcomes. According to Dr Joe Dispenza, intentioned is getting clear... with what you really want. Cold water naturally puts your mind into a mediative state. Even if you have little to no experience meditating. Our ability or desire to think about the worries of tomorrow or the problems of the past seem to just melt away. The 2-3 minutes session is the perfect time to use our mind , intentions for the day to focus and create our life. As we sit in the present moment and become aware of our body our focus starts to turn inward, focusing ore on our inner worlds and less on our outer world. This takes our brain waves from beta, to alpha and eventually theta states. Lower frequencies, the state of mind where we are most suggestible. So make use of this time and tell yourself nice things, use a mantra, a prayer an affirmation or repeat what you want over and over. Cold water bathing is an intentional practice taught here at Optimyze helping to create the best versions of ourself through natural methods. See more

Fasting refers to the deliberate abstention from food and/or fluids for a period of time, for therapeutic purposes. Many people don’t know that fasting has been used for thousands of years in various religious and spiritual practices throughout human history, andin a sense, fasting is part of everyday life. The term ‘breakfast’ is the meal that breaks the fast, which is done daily. The recent increase in scientific research around fasting has allowed us to understand just ho...w fasting positively affects our physiology, cells, aging, disease and overall health. What has been incredible for me to watch in my coaching is how many people, regardless of symptoms or condition, have benefited from this completely free and simple biohack! In 2016Dr. Ohsumichanged the fasting landscape dramatically when he won a Nobel prize for his work on autophagy.Autophagymeans self- eating and is thebody’s way of cleaning out damaged cells in order to regenerate newer, healthier cells. Autophagy is like the fast track to healing and slowing the aging process. What does autophagy have to do with fasting? Well, fasting triggers this magical autophagy process. Essentially, fasting helps accelerate healing and gets your body to naturally repair itself! What happens to your body when you fast? You can access the full article by @samymattos32 at www.optimyze.me/blog Website can be accessed by clicking on the link in our bio.

Check out our latest blog article by Julia Feindt "Near Infrared: works at the outermost surface of the skin, stimulating mild detoxification and regeneration, which you may witness as sweating, wound healing and increased immune function. Mid infrared: works deeper into the body’s tissue which allows this wavelength to affect the blood vessels, increasing circulation and oxygen exchange to support things like muscle relaxation. ... Far infrared: penetrates all the way to the organ and fat level, stimulating the highest level of detox, fat burning and circulation".

"Sauna bathing, an activity that has been a tradition in Finland for thousands of years and mainly used for the purposes of pleasure and relaxation, is becoming increasingly popular in many other populations. Emerging evidence suggests that beyond its use for pleasure, sauna bathing may be linked to several health benefits, which include reduction in the risk of vascular diseases such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and neurocognitive diseases; nonvascular conditions such as pulmonary diseases; mortality; as well as amelioration of conditions such as arthritis, headache, and flu."
